The Joers

Is it cheesy to say it was kismet from the moment we met? 100%. Is it true? Also 100%. We met over 7 years ago, back in October of 2017, when I started working at Metro Market, during my Sophomore year of college. I was in the break room, trying to just take a breather, while having my ear talked off by one of our talkative coworkers, Robert. Then, to my rescue (though it seemed) Nick stepped into the conversation, to help divert Rob's attention from just me. Now I'm not going to lie and say we hit it off right away, or by any means insinuate THAT was the moment that I knew he was going to be my forever, as it just seemed like normal coworker interaction, but man, Nick is a great conversationalist. After break, I headed back to my station and continued to work, when Nick came up to my front counter and slid his phone over and asked for my number. Not only did I find this bold, because for one, he was still in high school, but also, in our generation, if you want to talk someone, you normally ask for their snapchat. From that moment on, we were somewhat inseparable. Whether it be our faces attached to the screen texting back and forth, Facetimeing one another, or just simply being in each others space, I could not get enough of him. A month later, November 10, 2017, we officially were dating. And three months later, we exchanged our first "I love you's" to each other. 7 years later and here we are, about to be married! Even though we faced multiple challenges throughout the years, I cannot imagine a better partner to have by my side as we tackle whatever else life decides to throw at us.
