We're doing our best to accommodate the state-issued recommendations concerning COVID-19, while still allowing our wedding to be as traditional as possible. Our main defenses from COVID-19 at the wedding will be social distance, fresh air, and safe food practices. The ceremony will be indoor, with ample room to allow for significant space between family groups if guests so choose. The reception will be outdoor, in an open area which will minimize pathogens in the air. Our caterer has an exceptional reputation regarding food safety, decontamination of busy surfaces, and minimizing unnecessary contact with the food itself.
Masks are not required at the wedding, but if that will give you a better sense of safety and health, you are more than welcome to wear one. We will also have a separate area in the reception tent designated for people who may want to increase their personal distance from others, while still remaining part of the party.
We have hired a professional photographer for both the ceremony and the reception (@illuminatephotography on Instagram, I highly recommend checking out her work!), and she will happily take charge of all the necessary pictures of the ceremony. We ask that you not bring out phones or cameras, and simply be fully present with us in the moment as we share this new chapter in our lives with you! Feel free to go camera-crazy during the reception, though. ;)
