How we met

Moses' story: Our church’s community group (CG) interacted regularly with the residents from a nearby nursing home. For Valentine’s Day weekend, our CG group got together to bring the residents special Valentine-themed treats and write poetry (specifically haikus) to jog their memory about past life experiences. Seeing someone take time out of their busy schedule to do that with the elderly allowed me to glimpse Rachel’s heart. She loves the vulnerable members of our society. She’s proven that over and over again over the years. Rachel's Story: Moses led our community group for years and his humility and compassion for those around him made me fall in love with who he is and what he stands for. Not to mention, my life has never been boring since meeting Moses! He’s always bringing the fun- my first time meeting Moses, he brought Tim Tam slams (Definition: biting the corners of a rectangular cookie, dipping the bottom corner into coffee, and sipping through the top corner of the cookie like a straw) for everyone and convinced me to do one. I thought, “Wow…this guy is here for a good time!” And that was just the beginning! There have been countless adventures since, and I know there will be so many more to come!
