Question

What is a Nikkah?

Answer

A Nikkah is the Islamic marriage ceremony where the couple officially exchanges vows and begins their married life. It is a beautiful and sacred tradition.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We kindly request modest attire for all events. Women attending the Nikkah ceremony are encouraged to bring a head covering out of respect for mosque traditions.

Question

What if I can’t attend?

Answer

We understand if you are unable to join us for the Nikkah. Please know we are planning a larger wedding celebration in 2026, and we’d love to celebrate with you then!

Question

Where should I stay if I’m traveling?

Answer

Most of our events will be in Sugar Land, Texas. We’ve listed hotel options near the Maryam Islamic Center under the Travel section for your convenience.

Question

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided. We recommend coordinating carpooling if needed.

Question

What can I expect at the women-only reception?

Answer

The women’s reception will be a relaxed and vibrant celebration with music, dancing, and plenty of joy shared among women in our lives.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Please reach out to us directly if you’d like to bring a guest, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

For all the days along the way
