We're Getting Married!

Rachel and Max met like every other couple in America; on moving day. Eric Berghoff was moving in with Rachel when they first met. Afterwards, Rachel texted Eric, “You have a red headed friend you never told me about?!” It was love at first sight. Although the two attempted to date for years, the timing never seemed right. That was, until a group of friends took their annual cabin trip in 2018. In the secluded backwoods of Upper Peninsula Michigan, Max and Rachel reignited their relationship. About a month later in February near Valentine’s Day (yes, near Valentine’s Day) the two officially started dating. They now have a home and a Cashew (their dog) together and couldn’t be happier.

On a planned Florida trip in July of 2020, Max and Rachel found themselves on the beautiful sands of Miramar Beach. To Rachel, this trip was a well-deserved break with her friends Lindsay Bean and Rocky Narkevicius from the crazy, quarantined world. To Max, it was the trip where he would ask Rachel to marry him. That Saturday started off like any other day, chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast, and drinks on the beach. As the day went on, Max, with the help of Rocky and Lindsay, planned for sunset pictures on the beach. It would start with a seafood dinner and end with a proposal. The seafood dinner turned to pizza (as every restaurant had closed) and sunset was rapidly approaching. As the group went to take sunset pictures, Max’s nerves of steel began to break. The sunset pictures turned into the moment of a lifetime when he got down on one knee to propose. She said yes, and the rest was history.
