Please arrive anytime between 3:00-3:30 pm PT. The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:45 pm. Anyone arriving after 3:45 pm will not be allowed to enter until after the conclusion of the ceremony.
We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! Dress to impress in your best semi-formal attire. Please refrain from wearing jeans/denim or sundresses.
The ceremony will take place outdoors and the cocktail hour will take place outdoors in a partially covered space. There will be heat lamps at the cocktail hour only. The reception will be indoors. We recommend bringing a light shawl, sweater or jacket, as Half Moon Bay is known for fog and wind!
As noted above, Half Moon Bay can be known for fog and wind! But we expect weather to be in the high 50's the entire weekend.
More information on the timeline can be found on the "Schedule" page of our website.
We will not be providing transportation. However, cabs, Lyfts and Ubers are all readily available. There is also parking on-site, which is complimentary.
Yes. The hotel has an underground parking garage that is free-of-charge. Overnight and day-of guests may park there. There is also a guest parking lot located next door, just past the hotel and just a short walk over.
While we love your little ones, this is an adult-only event.
We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a three-course plated dinner and desserts including cake and donuts. There will be a variety of wines, beers, champagne, hard liquor and soft beverages.
We will inquire about dietary restrictions when we send our formal wedding invitations. We will do our best to accommodate all restrictions but if we cannot for any reason we will let you know in advance.
We will be hosting an open bar, for a portion of the evening. The rest of the night will be cash bar only. There will also be wine and beer served complimentarily throughout the evening.
Yes. More information can be found on the Travel Page of this website.
We will be having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We are very excited for our photographers Caitlin and Alex, to capture the special moments we'll be sharing with you. However, we encourage our guests to take as many photos/videos as they'd like during cocktail hour and at the reception!
A formal invitation will be sent approximately 2-3 months prior to our wedding date. RSVP's will open then and specific RSVP deadlines will be provided. We will also ask for your dinner preference at that time. So looking forward to you joining us!
We've listed some of favorite activities, restaurants, and landmarks on the Travel section of the website! Napa, San Francisco, and Sonoma are also all just a 30-minute to two hour drive away.
Absolutely! There will be a gift table for your convenience. You may also purchase any gifts online via our registry (see the "Registry" page on this website) where you'll have the option to ship to us directly or ship to yourselves and bring them in person to the wedding.
#TheShatzSchenkReception. We came up with this only a few months into dating and realized, if we ever got married, we'd have to use it! Feel free to use this on any and all photos taken throughout the event!
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear on your invitation and under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding and please feel free to reach out with any questions!
The event will end promptly at 11:00 pm PT. However, many of us will be heading to the Inn, located off the main property but right out the lobby doors, to keep the party going! Feel free to join us!
