We met on the popular (at the time) dating app Bumble! After striking up conversations about pets, show tunes and video games things moved quickly to texts, a first date at a terrible restaurant, and shifted pretty seamlessly into dating! Matt officially adopted the chihuahuas at some point along the journey, and we bought our first house in Spring of 2021! There hasn't really been a point since we met that we haven't been doing things as a unit.

With Rachel's job in the wedding industry, we knew we wanted to secure our wedding date prior to her clients booking up the year. Matt attended several weddings alongside Rachel, so there was plenty of "we want this at OUR wedding..." discussion happening for a while. Eventually we went ahead and booked the first venue we toured! After booking a few other vendors for the wedding, we started deciding on the best option for engagement rings. After securing the ring in February of 2021, Matt surprised Rachel with both of their families together at Boordy Vineyards on June 12th to pop the question!
