Our wedding will take place on Key Biscayne, an island paradise about 7 miles from the city of Miami. Rachel grew up on the Key, and Marcel has come to appreciate its warm weather and small-town feel. There's plenty to do on Key Biscayne, and it's pretty walkable. Some hotel options are listed below. We also recommend checking out AirBnb. If you'd like to stay off the Key, there are plenty of hotels in the Brickell area, which is just over the bridge and about a 15-20 minute drive to the venue. Ubers and Lyfts are plentiful if you don't want to rent a car, and the price would be about $25 each way. Brickell has lots of bars and restaurants, and is about a 20-minute drive to South Beach. Getting around: You don't need to rent a car in Miami if you are comfortable taking Ubers and Lyfts. In Key Biscayne most places are walkable.

The Silver Sands Beach Resort is a 5-minute drive from the Key Biscayne Beach Club (the wedding venue). You can also walk along the beach from the Silver Sands to the wedding venue in under 10 minutes. The Silver Sands is closing in March or April, so all reservations are done by phone. You can reach the front desk at (305) 361-5441 and let them know you would like to book a room for the Fried-Nguemaha wedding to receive a discounted rate. As of November 3, 2024, they have plenty of availability. However, we recommend you book your room as soon as possible as they cannot guarantee availability closer to the wedding date.
