The History of The Grain House In the middle of the Revolutionary War, from 1778 to 1780, the barn was used to store grain that fed Washington’s army. The flour, meal, and feed were supplied to the Continental Army encampment in Morristown, NJ. The grain storage area is known today as “The Grain House.”
