It all started at an 80s-themed party at Rachel's sister's house, where they met and then proceeded to barely talk at all. Luke was known as the "cookie guy" for the first few months after meeting, partly because Rachel could not remember his name. This was the case until Luke showed up to Rachel's birthday party (she didn't know he was invited), where they discovered that Luke's birthday was the day before hers, prompting actual conversation! They bonded over their shared interests and became friends over the course of the night, and eventually became inseparable at the parties that took place afterward. It became very clear to everyone around them that they were going to date, but it took several months to actually get to that point. Finally, at a Halloween party also hosted by Rachel's sister, Luke got up the courage to ask her out on a date. After a few dates, they overcame their incredible awkwardness and became a couple! Since then, they have traveled, gotten a house, and adopted three cats together. They are so excited to celebrate their love with friends and family!
