We hope these recommendations help you make the most of your trip and discover some of the places we love. Most of these suggestions are near our venue in Malibu, but feel free to reach out if you’d like recommendations for exploring the wider city!

One of the first places we explored and loved when moving to LA. Located on a quiet stretch of coastline in Malibu, Point Dume offers breathtaking ocean views, dramatic cliffs, and peaceful hiking trails. Spot dolphins and seals while taking in the natural beauty of the California coast. An amazing short "hike" along the coast!

A beloved local spot right across from the beach, known for its ultra-fresh seafood and no-frills charm. You can enjoy everything from classic fish and chips to grilled fish tacos, all while taking in sweeping ocean views.

A gorgeous beach that ranks among our favorites, celebrated for its dramatic cliffs, unique rock formations, and breathtaking ocean views. It’s the perfect spot to catch a stunning sunset and is just about a 20-minute drive from the venue.

A laid-back coastal gem where you can stroll along the wooden boardwalk, watch surfers catch waves, and enjoy fresh seafood with ocean views. It’s the perfect spot to soak in the classic Southern California beach vibe and catch a breathtaking sunset. Dine at Malibu Farm Pier Cafe and check out the Aviator Nation Dreamland bar/retail store.

A must-visit resturant for fresh, organic dishes and a beautiful treetop patio with canyon views. Perfect for a relaxed brunch or lunch surrounded by nature. Roughly 30 min drive from the venue but very scenic!

Solstice Canyon

If you’re interested in hiking, enjoy a 2–3 mile, easy-to-moderate trail through Solstice Canyon in the Santa Monica Mountains. The hike features a shaded creek, historic ruins, and a seasonal waterfall, with optional viewpoints overlooking the Malibu. Parking and bathrooms located at the trailhead.

The Getty Villa

Explore ancient art and culture at the Getty Villa, a Roman-inspired estate with beautiful gardens, fountains, and ocean views in Malibu. Admission is always free, but timed-entry tickets are required. On-site parking is typically around $20 per car so plan accordingly!

A California favorite! In-N-Out is a beloved West Coast fast food chain known for its fresh, made-to-order burgers, hand-cut fries, and classic milkshakes. If you’ve never been, it’s a must-try for a quick, tasty bite.

If you are spending extra time in LA, check out our go to beach that we visit weekly. Manhattan Beach has wide sandy shores, a beautiful pier, and a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of shops and resturants nearby. The beach is clean and safe, making it a great place to check out if you want to enjoy the beach!
