Our story begins like any other modern love story, Tinder and the COVID19 Pandemic. Both of us looking to find a real connection, we established Tinder profiles to begin our search. Lauren was looking for someone who loves dogs, biking, being active outdoors, and someone to adventure and have fun with. She wrote, "Looking to find my person, but no rush." Rachel's profile displayed a list of her likes which included, dogs, travel, lake days, pizza, tacos, soccer, camping, and laughing. They both swiped right and a match was made. It wasn't long after that Rachel started messaging Lauren. Her leading line of "tell me your most embarrassing story" was fun and started the conversation on a silly note. Lauren and Rachel started texting each other almost daily for weeks, slowly getting to know each other. We bonded over our love of food (pizza) and which ranch is best. We sent each other photos of what we were doing, Rachel was building a shiplap wall in her home, and Lauren was roller skating. It wasn't long before Rachel asked Lauren to meet in-person. We set a date to meet at a local favorite park in Ann Arbor for a walk. It was on the luckiest day of the year, March 17th, Saint Patrick's Day. We walked the park trails for miles chatting and laughing. We stayed walking and talking way past Lauren's dinner time, and decided we ought to head out. Our next date, at another park, involved a rainy evening under the pavilion with a charcuterie board and wine. We had a blast together and stayed well after dark, right until the park was closing. From there we made plans weekly, Rachel would visit Lauren's apartment after work and we would make dinner together and watch a movie together and talk all night. We had many date days that included our favorite restaurants like York, Sadako, and Joe's Pizza. We went for walks at sunset or played games and puzzles at Rachel's house with Opie. We love to travel together and go sight seeing, we have taken many trips so far including Marco Island, California, and Reno! We decided to pop the big question in November 2022. Both of us having the idea of going back to the first parks where we met. Lauren set up a charcuterie board with candles, flowers and twinkle lights where she surprised Rachel after work. The same weekend Rachel set-up a scavenger hunt of photos and locations around our home that eventually led Lauren to the park with a trunk proposal. We both said YES! We are so happy and excited to share our love with all of our family and friends as we celebrate our marriage! We can't wait to party with you all!!!
