Thank you to Juan (Migo) Tandez and Catherine (Kit Kat) DeGuzman for creating a beautiful memory of our engagement!
God connected us through music ministry and the rest is history :) A Long-Expected Party One Spring Saturday in 2011, would be the fateful day Kyle and Rachel officially meet at the divisional youth band and chorus rehearsal! It was during lunch time and Rachel was casually eating and talking with her siblings. She felt a tap on her shoulder and turned to see Kyle’s mom (Tita Raghel). “Hi! Are you and your siblings Filipino?” Tita Raghel kindly asked. Rachel excitedly replied, “Yes! This is my Athe (Older sister) Charisse and my younger brother Nathan!” They exchanged laughs with each other and Tita Raghel stated, “You should come and meet my boys!” When initially meeting Charisse, Rachel, and Nathan, there was a mutual awkwardness that was felt by Kyle, Ken, and Kris... However, the overly excited Rachel was always ready to make friends and push through that awkwardness! Needless to say, Kyle and Rachel's friendship was, for the most part, not THAT exciting... besides the occasional small talk between Salvation Army events.
Twas the Summer of 2017... Kyle was living in Salem, Oregon and working as the Worship and Performing Arts Instructor while Rachel was working as a Lifeguard at Camps Crags in Calabasas, California... RSVP and Attend the Wedding to Hear the Full Story!
First came boba and movie popcorn, and then came the surprise proposal! See video above!
