Our Love Story

Kevin and Rachel had their first kiss way back in elementary school. They were playing spin the "flashlight" because they didn't have a bottle. In true 90's kid fashion she kissed him while wearing blue sparkly lip balm. Even though their families spent quite a bit of time together, neither Kevin or Rachel remember seeing each other during middle school or high school. The timing wasn’t right for them to reconnect. Years passed before they would meet again. Rachel started working at Gentex, Kevin went to college. Rachel bought a dog, Kevin bought a boat. Rachel bought a kitten, Kevin graduated. Rachel bought another dog, Kevin bought a house. (Clearly one of them had their life more together lol) Finally, after another cat adoption Rachel decided it was time she bought a house. To save money Rachel planned to move back in with her parents but she needed someone to foster her cats. After seeing her post on Facebook, Kevin's mom told Rachel to reach out to Kevin. Kevin was living alone and wanted something to keep him company. She texted him and they made plans for Kevin to come over and meet the cats. After they spent the whole night talking and catching up Kevin agreed to foster the cats. The day Rachel dropped off the cats, she asked Kevin if he would like to go to Irish on Ionia with her. She told him she would buy his ticket as a thank you for taking care of her cats.  At Irish on Ionia, after lots of green beer and some Irish jigs Kevin and Rachel had their second first kiss. They talked all night again and Rachel told Kevin, "I am not the girl you marry." But, they continued to spend more and more time together because Rachel, "just wanted to see her cats." Both Kevin and Rachel were suprised how well they fit together. Neither of them could deny that they had something truly special. Plus, Kevin just loves to prove Rachel wrong. Three dogs and two cats later they are one of the few couples who can say they will be each other’s first and last kiss.
