For the health and safety of our young and elderly family members, we are having a small intimate wedding dinner after the church ceremony with family members only. We would love it if our closest friends could be a part of the church ceremony at St.Gabriel on April 17th. It is large enough for everyone to safely keep their distance and every bench will be pre-sanitized before your arrival. A party reception date for everyone is still TBD as we await the resrictions for gatherings during COVID to change. Much Love, Karl and Rachel

Karl staged a beautiful and romantic setting in his backyard! He with help from his sister decorated with several flower arrangements, candles and balloons that spelled out Will You Marry Me! As I walked out onto the patio, I was surprised by the photographer's camera clicks, the gorgeous setup, and Karl's unforgettable ear-to-ear smile while he got down on one knee. I was surprised as I had thought we were going out to dinner like any other date night. For the 2nd part of the surprise, he took me to my mother's home, where secretly my closest family members were waiting for us!
We were introduced by a mutual friend at the rooftop pool of the Ashton apartment complex, 5 years ago, here in Charlotte. We immediately connected when we learned that we shared similar cultural upbringings.
