FAQs

We can't wait to celebrate with you soon! We will continue to update our website and this page as our wedding approaches.
Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Click the RSVP tab in the top right corner of this page!

Question

Have you reserved hotel room blocks?

Answer

Yes! We recommend staying in one of our four Kalamazoo-area hotel blocks. Rental homes and B&Bs are also available in Kalamazoo and Colon, MI.

Question

Will the wedding be outside?

Answer

All events will take place outside, so please dress accordingly. There is lots of grass and gravel- skip the stilettos!

Question

What is the wedding day schedule?

Answer

We are so excited for our wedding day that we can barely stand it!!! Our ceremony is at 3:30 PM, followed by cocktail hour, a family-style coursed dinner, and DANCING. You haven't lived until you've seen Kari tear up the dance floor.

Question

Talk to me about transportation.

Answer

We will provide transportation to and from Farrand Hall on both Friday and Saturday. Shuttles will run from our Kalamazoo hotel block locations and Colon-area rentals. We will share the pickup schedule the week of our wedding.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes. You are welcome to drive!

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

We suggest summer cocktail attire and dancing shoes that can handle grass and gravel.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While we love children, we've chosen not to include them in our wedding celebrations. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We look forward to an intimate wedding with our closest family and friends. All plus ones are named on your wedding invitation and RSVP portal. We are excited for our loved ones to celebrate together and meet new friends!

Question

I've never been to Southwest Michigan. What should I do while visiting?

Answer

We are so excited to share this part of Michigan with you! We will continue to update our Things to Do tab as our wedding approaches. Farrand Hall is in a small town that, inexplicably, considers itself the Magic Capitol of the World. To learn more about this area, visit https://www.visitcolonmi.us/. Kalamazoo is a larger city with lots of restaurants, bars, and activities: https://www.discoverkalamazoo.com/.
