Downtown Leesburg

Such a cute little downtown area! Dotted with restaurants, eateries, bars, breweries, coffee shops and little boutique shops. You can spend several hours exploring.

Bluemont Vineyard

This is where we got engaged! Beautiful views of the mountains among the vineyards. It's a lovely place.

Oatlands Historic House & Gardens

Harpers Ferry

This is a National Park set in a cute little historic town. Tons of hiking nearby. Float on the river in a raft or tube.

Middleburg

Beautiful Virginia horse country. This is worth a drive! Cute little town as well with shops, bakeries, breweries and wineries.

Shenandoah National Park & general hiking options

You don't have to go all the way here to hike but if you want a pretty "Skyline Drive" with scenic stops- this is place to go. Great hikes in the area include Sky Meadows State Park, Bear's Den, Raven Rocks, Maryland Heights. If you want to venture to Great Falls National Park on the Potomac and enjoy rock scrambling; the Billy Goat Trail on the Maryland side of the park is amazing!

Washington, DC

In a little less than an hour, you can get to Downtown DC to visit all of the great sites. DC is becoming a foodie place- there are several Michelin Star restaurants in town. Check out Rooster and Owl where JW worked until February.

Billy Goat Trail Section A

A fantastic hike which includes some very fun and adventurous rock scrambling. Set along the Potomac River.

Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center

If you enjoy aircraft: rockets, missiles and military aircraft, you will enjoy this museum which is located near Dulles Airport.

One of our favorite places to get Korean food. Get the tofu soup, kimchi pancake, and jeyuk bokkeum.
