Justin and Rachel first met at their little brothers’ 2013 high school homecoming football game. While home from college, Rachel would volunteer as an athletic trainer for the hometown football team. Justin worked and lived in the area and never missed an opportunity to support his brother. At halftime of the 2013 IWA homecoming football game, Rachel received a surprise in the form of Justin’s adorable puppy, Anna, jumping into her lap and giving her puppy kisses! However, the encounter didn’t end there. Later on in the game, Justin’s little brother got a concussion, which Rachel promptly diagnosed and recommended that the family see a doctor as soon as possible. Thanks to Rachel’s quick response and Justin’s forward thinking, Justin’s little brother received the proper treatment and Justin ended up getting Rachel’s phone number later on that evening from his concussed brother! After that night, Rachel and Justin started talking for about a year until they started dating in August 2014.

Rachel was just getting home from working a track meet and she opened the door to Justin on one knee while Mila was running around like a crazy dog, because mom just got home from a long day of work, and something exciting was going on! Rachel then said YESSS with excitement and joy! To conclude their magical night, Justin had planned a lovely meal for just the two of them to celebrate what they both knew would be the beginning of the most incredible journey of their lives.
