Our ceremony will begin at 5:30pm, so please plan to arrive starting at 5pm.
Nope! The ceremony and reception will be at the same venue. We will be getting married and then celebrating together at The Red Barn at Outlook Farm in South Berwick, Maine.
Yes, we will have a shuttle running between The Anchorage Inn and our venue. Please see the Travel and Accommodations section for more details.
Yes, there is parking available on-site. If you are planning on enjoying several drinks at our wedding, please carpool with friends and have a designated driver at the end of the night (if you are not already taking the shuttle back to The Anchorage Inn).
The dress code for our wedding is formal/cocktail attire! Think lightweight suits, cocktail or maxi dresses, festive jumpsuits; aka whatever makes you feel most comfortable and celebratory! The ceremony will be outside in a grassy area and the reception will be indoors, so consider wearing comfortable footwear. We will be in New England during mid-June, so it's anyone's guess as to what the weather will do. With that said, you can't go wrong with a summer outfit along with a jacket or cardigan just in case.
While we absolutely love all of the children in our lives, we will be limiting the number of children who will be in attendance. Ultimately, only the people listed on your invitation are invited to the wedding.
We will have a diverse group of loved ones of different ages and walks of life at our wedding, and we want to make sure that everyone feels happy, safe, and relaxed! With that said, for health and safety reasons, we kindly ask that you please take an at-home COVID test to ensure that you are negative for COVID-19 prior to attending our wedding. We will be providing face masks at the venue for any guest who may feel more comfortable wearing one during the ceremony or reception. Please use your best judgement in regards to your health and the health of others!
Rachel was raised Jewish while Justin grew up in a secular household; therefore, this wedding will be Jew-ish. There will be a few Jewish elements within the ceremony as well as during the reception, but it will not be an overwhelmingly religious affair.
Feel free if you would like to, though it is a personal choice and completely up to you! Yarmulkes (also known as Kippot) are traditionally worn by guests during Jewish events and ceremonies. We will have them available for guests during the ceremony, and you are more than welcome to wear one if you are moved to do so!
The reception will not have Kosher catering, though there will be pescatarian, vegetarian, and vegan meal options for our dinner at the reception. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions!
Our amazing friend Taylor did! She is one of Justin’s best friends from highschool, and she is a mega-talented artist based out of Dover, New Hampshire. We are in absolute awe of her work! Check out her stuff at TaylorRoseMakesArt.com
Our loved ones' genders and identities were not deciding factors for us when it came to choosing our wedding party! We have decided to use inclusive language surrounding this wedding out of care for our friends and their experiences. We welcome you to join us in creating an affirming environment for all.
