This was one of the first places Rachel took Josi to see when he first arrived in San Diego. Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial is considered one of the most unique veterans memorials in America; it is the only memorial that honors veterans, living or deceased, from the revolutionary war to the current war on terror, with an image of the veteran. You also get a breathtaking view of La Jolla, San Diego, and the surrounding areas.
One of the best places to enjoy beautiful views of Mission Bay, this 79-acre park is located on Mount Soledad. It's also perfect to have a picnic, or lounge in the sun and read a good book. Make sure you bring a blanket or towel if you plan to sit on the grass.
