We're getting Married! time to celebrate!

Josh and I crossed paths one night in Red Hook when I met up with a friend at Bernie's after having dinner with my mom (she was visiting the island). Josh and I chatted a little and hugged (a long hug) and when we left and my mom said, "that tall guy is so cute!" But I didn't see Josh again for awhile until one night when my coworkers and I booked a night kayaking tour. Guess who was the tour guide?? Josh!! I tried to flirt with him and then asked for his number at the end of the tour. We hung out I think the next day and then every single day after that! After a couple weeks of going on dates, Josh took me scuba diving. He swam up to me at one point, grabbed a piece of dive paper and a pencil out of his pocket, and gave it to me. The note said: "Will you be my girlfriend? Check Yes or No" I obviously checked yes.

Josh and I arrived to STT on 7/17/2021 for a vacation. We were so excited to see all our friends on the island again and we were lucky enough to be staying at our good friends' beautiful house, The Chase's. We wake up super early the next day and go to Secret Harbor. It is a perfect day outside and I said to him, "I hope we go on a boat soon." He said "okay, we are going on a boat today!" I start packing some stuff for a normal boat day. Josh is standing on the deck looking out at the water. I ask him what he's looking at. He said "the boat we are going to go on - its the blue one." I said "I don't see a blue boat. There's a huge yacht in the way." He said, "that's the boat - the Sheehan's are taking us out on their boat!" I was shocked and repacked. We get ready to get on the tender and all of Josh and my friends start showing up! We all head to the big boat! They have a crew of people taking care of our every need, a bunch of water sport toys, and a beautiful interior with a living room and dining room. We get a quick tour of the boat and we get down to the bedrooms. Christine shows us a room and says this is where you and Josh will be staying tonight. WHAT! I cannot believe what is happening. We party all day with our friends and they leave in the afternoon. A small intimate group stays to have dinner on the boat: the Sheehans, Chase's, and Josh and I. I get ready for dinner and when I come up, the boat has transformed to a romantic setting, everyone is dressed nice and the sun is setting. Josh and I make our way outside and we go up to the top of the boat. There's a table with wine. We sit down and he asks if I want a glass. I grabbed the bottle which is wrapped in a napkin. When I open it, the bottle read: Will you marry me? Josh got down on his knee, told me how much he loved me and asked me to marry him. There were tears of joy, kisses, and laughs. It was the best day ever. I'm so grateful for all my gracious friends for setting up such a beautiful surprise.
