Though we grew up 10 minutes away from each other in Raleigh and even played tennis at the same tournaments, we did not meet until after college by hanging out with mutual friends. We officially got together on Halloween in 2015, and it was like we had known each other for much longer! Our shared love of family, hiking, cats, and more has made for a relationship filled with love and adventure!

While spending a weekend in Asheville, NC, we went on a hike near Montreat College. We arrived at the peak of Rattlesnake Mountain. After taking in the view, John suggested we have a snack. I was so focused on the food, I did not notice him getting out the ring. He got down on one knee, and of course, I said yes! John created the perfect surprise, and we could not be happier! We look forward to celebrating with everyone in July at Beech Mountain!
