Jess and Rachel met in the romantic way all millennials do these days—on a dating app. After their first date, they were already talking about when they could hang out again, which ended up being that Sunday. Rachel was especially relieved to learn that Jess wanted to watch football for their second date. It felt like a good sign. Pretty quickly, they realized how much they had in common: both played soccer in college, both grew up with two sisters, and both became teachers (Rachel would just like to apologize to Jess for not becoming a doctor). Somewhere along the way, things got serious...in the best way. In addition to sharing careers and sister-filled childhoods, they quickly bonded over all the things they love doing together: staying active, watching sports, spending time in Minneapolis, playing games, and finding new restaurants (or pastries). Last summer, Rachel somehow managed to pull off a surprise proposal at home with the help of Mike and a lot of secret planning. Jess was completely surprised, which made it even better—and she said yes. They are so excited to celebrate with all of you in Iowa and can’t wait to gather everyone they love in one place to kick off this next chapter together. Let's party in Iowa!!
