Though their paths had crossed at Eric Hamber Secondary School in 2004, it took another 18 years for them to find each other for real. A simple swipe right on Bumble, a few messages exchanged, and a coffee date invite brought them to Max's Deli on a sunny Saturday in August. They felt an instant connection, in the open and easy conversation that made the morning fly by. Rachel then went away for 2 weeks but they stayed in touch, sharing sweet check-ins and updates with each other. As soon as she was back in Vancouver, their relationship was off to the races. Their love grew quickly and naturally over the next few months and it felt obvious to both of them (and to those around them) that they had met "the one."
