First, we want you to know that your health and safety are our top priority, and this has guided us in our planning through & through. We have made the difficult decision to reduce our guest list following state & government large social gathering guidelines/limitations. Our bridal party and close family members will be the only ones in attendance. This was an incredibly personal and difficult decision, and we have appreciated each and every one of your loving responses to this unfortunate change. We welcome you to contact us with any personal questions or concerns! We're all in this together and most likely already have answers for your questions. We would love to hear from you to help ease any anxieties you may be feeling as well. Thank you all for your continued patience and generosity! We love all of you.
We have been working hard with the staff at the venue to make sure we are doing what we can! The venue staff will be taking all the recommended health and safety protocols when serving food and beverages to guests throughout the night. Dinner will be wait-staffed, and beverages will be with the assistance of wait staff as well. All appetizers will be individually plated. Sanitizing will be held frequently in common spaces, especially the bathrooms. Hand soap & sanitizer will be found in the bathrooms, and hand sanitizer will be available at each individual table. Cloth face masks will be provided to everyone in attendance, and mask wearing is encouraged if you are indoors at any time. Feel free to bring a mask of your own if you do not want to utilize the ones we are providing!
Due to recommendations from the W.H.O., C.D.C., and MA state guidelines, we have altered our wedding plans as follows: The ceremony will be held indoors with social distancing measures in place. The ceremony will be about 15 minutes in length. Individuals will have assigned seating with their loved ones in efforts to reduce unnecessary social contact. Cocktail hour and reception will be held outdoors, tented, rain or shine. Table seating will be as much by family/friend/household unit as possible.
The ceremony and reception will take place at The Cape Club of Sharon. Use the following address in your GPS: 25 Tiot St, Sharon, MA 02067.
The ceremony begins at 5:30pm. Cocktail hour begins at 6pm.
Yes! There will be a shuttle from the Courtyard Boston Norwood/Canton to The Cape Club of Sharon and back. Shuttle timing information will be provided when you arrive to your hotel room. Please be aware that if you are choosing to take the shuttle, it is the policy of the shuttle company that you must wear a mask while on board. The distance between the hotel and venue is about 15 minutes.
Cocktail attire. For men, we suggest a suit, jacket or a button-up with a tie. For women, we suggest a cocktail dress, dressy suit or jumpsuit. That being said, it is August and we have moved the wedding outdoors, so we trust your judgement on summer cocktail attire!
We have a room block at the Courtyard Boston Norwood/Canton. To reserve your room, visit our "Travel" page for a clickable link or call 1-781-762-4700 - make sure to mention Brown/Vancura wedding for the block rate.
