We met in our high-school co-ed gym class in our senior year and would often chat or joke around. On November 21st 2014 Jared boldly reached out via messenger with only his phone number and a message prompting to text him. After that first "hey" was sent, we just clicked right away. Gym class soon became our favourite class and we did not hold back on the flirting and rough-housing. One body check and a pair of broken glasses later is when we realized "Okay, this could be something special".

After accidentally stumbling across the beauty of Lynn Canyon in Northern Vancouver the previous summer, we returned to our favourite little spot for another hike with our close friend. It started to rain as we made our way through the park boardwalks and we came to a secluded rocky stream and took tons of photos. I was told to close my eyes for a moment and when I reopened them he was down on one knee with the ring facing himself before reorienting it to face me. After a quick laugh and some happy tears I nodded "YES" a million times over. We are beyond excited to celebrate this next chapter in our life with you!
