Rachel wholeheartedly believes that when you’re on your path, the universe conspires to help you. The night James and Rachel met, they were each on their path. It was Friday April 19, 2019 when the stars aligned at their dear friend Olivia Mitchell’s French soirée, where the hostess paid homage to the tragic fire at the Notre Dame de Paris by serving fine French wine, an epic charcuterie, and was adorned with a beret. The two were seated on the same tufted leather sofa, playing a rousing dice game of Tenzi. Rachel had just returned from a solo adventure to Iceland then Ireland and James had recently traveled to Pakistan. The two connected over their wanderlust, the grind of sales, their shared values, and of course James’ dry humor. Sparks flew, everyone else at the party faded into the background, and a week later James asked Riley for his older sister Rachel’s phone number. After many long distance WhatsApp messages exchanged and phone calls getting to know one another, the two had their first date at Geraldine’s Supper Club in Fountian Square. And the rest, as they say, is history.
