Jake first saw Rachel's LinkedIn photo when his high school friend, Emily, told Jake she wanted to set him up with her co-worker, Rachel. They first met in person on a double date with Emily and her now-husband Crosby at the Venetian Moon in Reading on July 1, 2014. They hit it off right away, and only one month later Jake met basically every single person in Rachel’s life at her 24th birthday party (including her parents). Fortunately, that didn’t scare him away (one of Jake’s favorite things about Rachel is her closeness to her family). Two years later, Jake moved into Rachel’s condo in Arlington - walking distance from from Jimmy’s where they enjoy many date nights. They spend most of their time together trying new restaurants (and visiting old favorites), traveling to PA, NH, FL and others; running on the bike path in Arlington; and perfecting their golf swings. On April 13, 2019, he got down on one knee while “just taking a photo together” at Gibbet Hill Grill with both families there to witness the special moment. Rachel said “yes,” to spending the rest of her life with her best friend.
