The Invisible String Theory suggests that we are all linked to those we love, regardless of physical distance or separation, by an intangible, yet powerful bond. Before Jake, I would have said this theory is that of a romance novel. After Jake, I believe it. Jake and I grew up within a fifteen minute drive of one another. We went to the same high school. We attended the same university. Through these years in not one, but two small towns, we never crossed paths. It wasn't until we had both grown up, Jake in law school and me in my second year teaching, that our formerly parallel life paths decided to overlap. In the overlap, Jake and I have started to create a life that leaves both of us excited for forever. We are so lucky to have crossed paths. The love we share is unlike any of this lifetime.
