We met in Calculus II during the spring 2023 semester. Iann kept asking Rachel for a pencil, not because he needed one, but because he needed an excuse to talk to her. What started as small moments in a class slowly grew into a friendship neither of us expected. In April, Iann finally asked Rachel on a date. We spent the afternoon at Panera pretending to study, wandered around Target for absolutely nothing we needed, grabbed Chick-Fil-A, and ended the night sitting outside building Legos together. That day felt easy and natural, and from then on, we were inseparable. Then came two years of long distance. Lots of FaceTimes, counting down the days until the next visit, and learning how to love each other from miles apart. We learned to celebrate the little things, communicate clearly, and choose each other daily. Now long distance is finally behind us, and we get to build the life we've been dreaming of since that first date.
