Rachel and Hunter met in college at The University of Alabama in 2016. Classic story of girl walks into a bar and sees the man of her dreams. They exchanged phone numbers and Hunter immediately asked Rachel to attend the football game the following day, Rachel declined. Kerry (Rachel’s cousin) was there to confirm all of this. Hunter was persistent and asked her again to a Christmas date party the following week and got a yes! The rest is history. During college, they continued to date and met each other’s families. Rachel attended an Easter celebration with the Needhams and Hunter met the Harhans at Rachel’s graduation ceremony. After graduation there were sad goodbyes as they would date long distance for the next year unsure of what the future held. The next year consisted of flights back and forth from Virginia and Georgia, watching shows together over facetime, and travel weekends together. Rachel followed her heart and moved to Atlanta, GA in 2018. They dated for the next 4 years making new friends, taking family trips to the beach, snow skiing and going overseas. Hunter proposed in February 2022 at their favorite romantic restaurant, CANOE with ALL the parents in attendance. It was a perfect freezing pitch black night to propose (Hunter missed sunset by about an hour) in front of a glass window with all the patrons and parents watching. Hunter was a bit nervous and popped the question in record time! On one of their trips they travelled to Charleston, SC and fell in love with the scenery and atmosphere. This sparked the idea for the perfect location for their big day. Now, after nearly 7 years together, they can’t wait to tie the knot and start their happily ever after!
