On August 24th, 2024, Rachel’s neighbors asked her to come over to watch some football with their friends. She wasn’t going to go, but with some encouragement from her mom, decided to go and give her friend some company amongst the boys. What was going to be some girl time turned into her deciding she’d be chatting up Gridley as there was just something about him (Piper, Rachel’s fur child, thought so as well!). He asked Rachel on a date for later that week to Kennesaw Mountain and, as they say, the rest is history. Both Rachel and Gridley knew early on that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with each other and five months later, to many people’s shock, Gridley proposed on a hike much like their first date!
