let the magic begin!

During a warm, Central Florida summer night on May 7th 2014, Disney World hosted Starlight Splash, an exclusive after hours party at Typhoon Lagoon (a water park) for college program participants. What was going to be a typical night enjoying the wave pool and waterslides turned into something entirely different. Through a mutual friend and roommate, Greg was introduced to Rachel and her twin sister Liz. Greg immediately felt a connection when he met Rachel’s eyes but was to nervous to say anything. Greg didn’t realize the feeling was mutual. While enjoying the wave pool together, Rachel and Liz became exhausted and Greg choose to save Liz instead, offering his arm and pulled her to shore...while Rachel drowned. Luckily a friend of Greg was there and pulled Rachel to shore and Rachel was brave enough to send a Facebook friend request to Greg three weeks later. What they both didn’t realize in the moment was that one simple Facebook request would lead to a world wind summer of adventure and of course…Disney magic. After only three months of dating, Rachel and Greg went their separate ways to finish college. After years of quick weekend trips to CA or NY, Rachel finally moved to CA and they were able to start their life together. Now eight years later TO THE DATE, Greg and Rachel are getting married on May 7, 2022.
