Beginner Friendly hikes: - Bear Lake Loop (0.8 miles, easy): Flat, scenic, and super accessible—even for those with mobility challenges. - Alberta Falls (1.7 miles round trip, moderate): A short, rewarding trail that ends at a powerful waterfall. - Emerald Lake Trail (3.2 miles round trip, moderate): One of the most iconic hikes, passes multiple alpine lakes, with dramatic backdrops. More challenging hikes: - Chasm Lake, one of our favorites (8.5 miles round trip, hard): On the trail that leads to Long's Peak, one of Colorado's most iconic peaks over 14,000 ft, or 14ers. - Sky Pond via Glacier Gorge (9 miles round trip): Alpine hike past waterfalls, lakes, and dramatic peaks. - Mount Ida (9.6 miles round-trip): Less crowded, with epic views along the Continental Divide—best in good weather due to exposure.
