Frank drove up to southern Oregon in August of 2019 to visit his best friend Marcus at the Parks Family Farm. Marcus was engaged to Rachel's sister and was working and living there for the summer. Frank wanted to come see his life and was excited to spend a weekend with his best friend riding dirt bikes, working, and hanging out on the farm. Little did he know, the trip down to the tiny town had more to offer than he thought, he would also be meeting his future wife on this trip. Marcus picked Frank up and drove him out to the field where they had been working all day laying hand line. He saw a girl with long blonde hair out in the field rolling around in the dirt with her dog, cracking jokes with her cousin Chelsea and doing a little more messing around than laying pipe. As soon as they met one another, fireworks set off. Frank tells it that he instantly knew Rachel was "his girl" when he met her and had stars in his eyes when they shook hands for the first time. They spent the weekend as friends laughing and getting to know one another a little more, but Rachel had a boyfriend and two days after Frank left she was packing up to move to Southern California for college. Rachel would stop by Lemos Farm on her way home from college a few times that year to visit Marcus and Emily and her and Frank got to chat, laugh, and share some really fun memories together. Finally, the day came where Rachel did not have a boyfriend anymore and she was spending the summer working on her family farm. In July of 2020, Frank came down the week of Emily and Marcus' wedding and Frank and Rachel's friendship finally turned into more than a friendship and before ya know it they were dating and planning their long life together! They knew long before they started dating that they might end up together in the long run, it just took a little longer than they both would have hoped. In December of 2021, they got engaged and joy and gratitude overflowed from each of them. Now, they are overjoyed to be planning their wedding, ready for the day to commit their lives to one another forever, dreaming about building the business together, serving their community and God in ways they are called, and having a big family someday, living out a simple little farm life together. Without the love, grace, and divine plans of Jesus, none of this would be possible.
