Rachel and Dustin met in early 2020. Rachel was finishing up her undergraduate studies at UK and Dustin had moved to Lexington for his first post-grad job. Their first date was to see country music artist, Ryan Hurd, at Manchester Music Hall. They went on a few dates, but the Covid pandemic sent them in different directions for some time. They reconnected in late 2021 and officially began dating in March of 2022. Around this time, Rachel moved to Covington, KY for PA school and Dustin moved to Morehead, KY for work. They followed each other all across the state, mostly just visiting each other on the weekends. They somehow made the distance work and both settled in the Lexington area after Rachel graduated PA school in 2024. Much to Rachel's surprise, Dustin popped the question on their 3rd anniversary! They have since moved in together and welcomed their puppy, Weller. They can't wait to start their lives together!
