We’re Finally Saying “I Do”!

We don’t have a fairytale story of how we met and fell in love, but if you know us then you know our love is one of a kind. We met in 2013, but didn’t actually become acquainted until Spring of 2014. I never paid too much attention to him and his flirtatious comments because figured he most likely spoke like that to every girl he’s every met *lol*. I was working as the Assistant Manager at the Apartments we both lived in. This was more reason why I didn’t pay him any attention. In my mind, he was just another male resident flirting thinking he would benefit somehow by dating the Assistant Manager. Maybe to receive free rent; waived fees....who knows. He would ask me over and over again if he could take me out and my answer would always be NO! I can honestly tell you, if there is any persistent men in this world Donuae Dilworth is one. After seemingly millions of declines I finally agreed to a date, but I had to get to know him more before I would go out in public with him *lol*. Since we both lived in the same apartment community, we started going on walks during the evenings just to talk and get to know each other. After several walks, we went on our first official date to Dairy Queen. Unlike most, I was impressed because he actually listened. To me, Dairy Queen was the perfect date! The rest was history. Our relationship matured as bestfriends to falling in love with one another. He gave me one of the greatest gifts that was presented to me on June 9th, 2015- our son Christian. We have chosen to love each as friends first and lovers second. The best decision I’ve ever made was getting to know the most persistent man on earth! Now on June 1, 2019 I’ll get to call him my husband. #Ourforeverlove
