FAQs

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to our wedding coordinator, Kim Wright, at (256)-457-8079. We look forward to celebrating with you!
Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event with the exception of our flower girl. We encourage you to use our wedding as a night out!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at the venue NO later than 20 minutes before the ceremony; you can arrive as early as 3:15 PM. This will allow time for you to park, sign the guestbook, and find your seat. If you arrive after the start of the ceremony at 4 PM, you will not be able to be seated and will have to wait until the start of cocktail hour to enter.

Question

Will the wedding be indoor or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors, so you can enjoy the fresh air, beautiful scenery, and a relaxed atmosphere. The reception will be indoors, where we’ll celebrate with dinner, dancing, and all the fun that comes with it—rain or shine!

Question

Where is parking located?

Answer

Parking will be provided at our venue, The Upton House. The parking lot is gravel, but there will be a concrete area should guests with limited mobility need to be dropped off closer to the ceremony location.

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

We are requesting that all of our guests wear garden formal attire. Feel free to refer to the "Dress Code Inspo" for more visuals. Please avoid jeans, shorts, flip flops, and any shade of white (including patters on white)!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are asking that guests refrain from taking any photos or videos during the wedding ceremony. Our photographer will capture the moments perfectly so you don’t have to! We would love for you all to take pictures during cocktail hour and the reception!

Question

Will there be assigned seating?

Answer

During the ceremony, we will have the first few rows reserved for immediate family. Guests not in the immediate family should sit in any other row. The reception will have a “bride and groom” table and a “wedding party” table! All other guests are welcome to sit where they feel most comfortable.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes! We plan to have beer, wine, and seltzers. Drinks are on us. The hangover is on you, so please drink responsibly ;)

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Question

What color are the bridesmaids wearing?

Answer

Our bridal party will be wearing light blue!

Question

What if I don’t RSVP in time?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 3, 2027. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate you if you RSVP late. We will need to provide our vendors and the venue an exact guest count by a certain date. While we will send out reminders, as well as send out invitations early, please be sure to RSVP as soon as possible!

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

We plan to have options for our gluten-free and vegetarian guests. Please include any specific dietary specifications when you RSVP, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Question

Where can I find the wedding registry?

Answer

We are registered at Amazon, Crate & Barrel, and Target. Our complete registry can be found under the "Registry" tab on the website, which will show a comprehensive list of all items!
