David and I met on Christmas Eve 2015. I still remember the first time I really saw him and what a big smile he had on his face. I knew how kind he was and just did not want to lose him as a friend, so the connection was made, even though we’re were both seeing other people at the time. Despite hoping for the best, and a few conversations we still lost contact. We were different people back then and different things were important to us. Sometime in 2018 we reconnected on Facebook but did not really talk for the first few months. I was planning to move out of state to Omaha (even had a job there) when we started talking and decided to hang out one last time. David shared his testimony and that night, I also met God for myself. A series of events then unfolded in a short period of time where God closed every door in trying to move, and I began working as a youth and children’s pastor in Bossier. David and I grew closer as friends... and then best friends... most of this time in 2019 and beyond we were no longer seeing other people, but were very close friends... friends who the Lord grew together, fell in love, and have chosen to encounter every trial and celebration at each others side. We met in the most unlikely of places and circumstances. We may have had our own ideas, but God brought us together, then apart to grow us, and at the right time together again so he could create something beautiful. We hope to see you all at our wedding to celebrate together.
