We met at the Boulder Home Depot, where David, then the Assistant Store Manager, hired me for the position of Garden Associate. David ended up conducting my second interview for the job, which ultimately led to my employment. Nearly two months passed before David asked me out. Where he managed to forget to get my phone number, leading to him having to return to ask. He startled me so much that I dropped to the ground in surprise. Here we are six and a half years later.

On our 5th anniversary, we headed up to Vail with our dogs in tow. Since our pups weren't allowed on the gondola, David came up with the wild idea of hiking all the way up Vail mountain. Two hours of trekking later, David pulled a muscle, and I managed to twist my knee. We limped our way to the mountain's peak with our dogs pulling us the entire way. We came to the charming mountain-top venue being set up for a Bat Mitzvah celebration. With patience, we waited for the crew to finish their preparations and clear out, giving us some time alone. It was against the backdrop of that serene mountain venue that David decided to pop the question. I, of course, couldn't resist saying yes.
