We’d love for our guests to dress in cocktail attire. For women, this could mean a cocktail dress, midi or floor-length dress, dressy jumpsuit, or a nice skirt and top. For men, a suit, sport coat, or dress pants with a button-down are all great options. Our cocktail hour will be on an uncovered outdoor patio, and the reception will be under a covered tent, so please dress with the August weather in mind!
There aren’t any special requirements for the church, so no need to worry about head or shoulder coverings.
Please RSVP by July 26th at the latest.
Our ceremony is part of the Eastern Orthodox Church and is rich in tradition and symbolism. Unlike many Western weddings, there is no traditional aisle procession—the ceremony begins with the couple already together in the church. It starts with the Betrothal at the entrance of the church, where the couple is blessed and exchanges rings, followed by the Crowning ceremony at the altar, which is the main part of the service. During this, you’ll see meaningful traditions like the crowning of the couple (symbolizing their new life together), sharing a common cup (representing the joys and challenges of marriage), and a short walk around the altar together as their first steps as husband and wife.
Due to venue size limitations, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation.
We’ll have a little break in between, so feel free to relax, freshen up, or grab a drink nearby. We’ll share a few of our favorite spots on the Travel page if you’re looking for ideas!
We’ll be having a buffet-style dinner, and there will be an open bar at the reception! If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know when you RSVP so we can accommodate.
