Bienvenidos a Costa Rica!
Location: Our wedding will be held in Daniel's hometown, Grecia, Alajuela Province, Costa Rica. Grecia is a small town located approximately 1 hour northwest of Costa Rica's central airport, Juan Santamaría International Airport.
Accommodations: There are a number of AirBnB, VRBO, and other small accommodations located in and around Grecia. Because Grecia is a small town, there are no major hotel franchises. The nearest large hotels are located nearby the airport in Rio Segundo, Alajuela Province (approximately 1 hour from the wedding venue).
Getting Around: Driving laws and road signs in Costa Rica are very similar to the US. Typical street addresses that we are familiar with in the US are not used in Costa Rica. Often the easiest way to navigate is to search the name of the place you are traveling to on Google Maps or Waze. The Waze App tends to have the most efficient and up-to-date navigation routes for Costa Rica.
