When should I book my room?

The earlier the better! We have a limited number of rooms on hold at the group rate, and after those are filled, rooms at the group rate are subject to availability until August 11.

Is there a special hotel room rate?

Yes! If you would like to stay on-site at the King and Prince, call 1-800-342-0212 and tell them you are with the Dowell/McRae wedding block. There are a variety of room rates starting at $239. There are also great multi-room villa options if you want to stay with friends or have a big group - these can be a cost-effective option. The King and Prince requires a 3-night minimum stay. We also have another room block at the Best Western Plus Saint Simons, with rates starting at $169 per night plus taxes. The hotel is a 10-minute drive from the King and Prince Resort (wedding location), and we will have a shuttle available to the resort on the wedding night. For those staying on-site at the King and Prince, everything is within walking distance. We will have shuttles from the Best Western.

What's the best way to travel from the airport to the Island?

To get from the airport to the Island, you can: (1) rent a car; (2) schedule a shuttle from the King and Prince hotel; or (3) order an Uber. The King and Prince offers airport transportation to and from the airport for those who do not want to rent a car. Transport can be arranged by calling 912-634-3631.
