Rachel and Cruz’s story began in March of 2022, during their first year at Baylor University. They were briefly introduced by mutual friends and felt an instant spark—but remained just friends, at least for a little while. Fast forward to August 2022: Rachel spotted Cruz at their favorite dive bar after summer break and decided to say hello. What started as a quick catch-up turned into hours of conversation, and when they weren’t ready for the night to end, they headed to IHOP to keep talking. From that night on, they were inseparable. A few weeks later, Cruz officially asked Rachel to be his girlfriend. They fell in love quickly, confident they had found their forever person. From the beginning, they were intentional about building a lasting relationship with God at the center. Cruz even made them a five-year plan spreadsheet early on, and despite advice from just about everyone, they adopted their sweet dog, Nora, after only 3 months of dating. The rest, as they say, is history! ❤️
