To our dear friends and family: We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with you. Find all the details you need to know about our big day here.
We met in college when Corban was a junior and Rachel was a freshman. Corban’s roommate, Chris McCown, had a knack for making friends, and soon enough, Rachel and a group of freshmen were regulars at their apartment for weekend hangouts. Corban insists he had feelings for Rachel from the start, but Rachel was convinced he had no interest in her—or the rest of Chris’s “freshman friends.” The following year, we became closer within a larger friend group. It wasn’t unusual to “accidentally” run into each other at the library or while walking around campus. Little did we know, God was quietly weaving our stories together. When Corban graduated in 2018, we stayed in touch, continuing to talk and occasionally meet up. Over the years of friendship, a few of our mutual friends were convinced we’d make a great couple and didn’t shy away from saying so. Rachel, however, was stubborn and avoided the notion of falling for Corban. That changed during a beach trip with friends in 2020. Rachel began to notice Corban’s kindness, patience, humor, and the care he showed toward everyone. At the drop of a hat, her perspective shifted. A few weeks later, after a graduation party for Rachel and her friends, Corban shared how he felt and asked Rachel on their first date. The rest, as they say, is history. We’re so grateful for how God brought us together and are thrilled to begin this new chapter as husband and wife!
