We can't wait to celebrate!

Despite growing up within a couple miles of each other, attending the same high school and college (though 2 years apart), it took an assist from Rachel’s cousin and Connor’s friend, Jeff Larsen, to arrange an introduction. On a beautiful early fall evening in 2022, Connor and Rachel met in front of Hotel Lincoln before heading up to the J Parker for drinks. They quickly bonded over their shared backgrounds including both of their dads being retired firemen. After a couple fancy cocktails, true to their Northwestside roots, they moved onto Miller Lites. The courtship continued from Chicago’s great restaurants to local dives. Their bond strengthened as they got to know each other’s families and friends. Connor even got over his nieces liking Rachel more than him. As they grew together so did their extended circles. Both have felt love and support from all sides. With encouragement from all around the next step was obvious. After receiving a fake invitation to a birthday brunch, Rachel agreed to return to where it all began. On a sunny afternoon on May 11, 2024, Connor got down on one knee and asked Rachel to marry him while family and close friends watched from the next building over. We have had the best beginning and can't wait to share the next chapter of our love story with all of you.
