Colin and I met by chance on the Holderness School campus one night through a mutual friend. We ended up watching a movie with a group of friends that night and Colin was won over by my odd knowledge of Star Wars. As we got to know each other we found we had much in common. We both play ice hockey (and wear #6), both our favorite movies are Lord of the Rings, and we love the outdoors! We spent some time apart in college only to grow closer together in the end. Colin made the move to Portland, ME while I went to graduate school and we became a family by adopting our beloved puppy Kito! We have since moved to Denver, CO where we adopted a second dog, Nova.

Colin had planned a weekend back packing trip for us on Labor Day weekend in order to summit more of the NH 48. This 22 mile, 6 summit back packing trip turned out to be a life changing adventure! 4,540ft up on the top of West Bond in the middle of the Pemigewasset Wilderness, Colin proposed (Kito as the only witness). He had planned a romantic sunset proposal on West Bond (featured above) which is known for its isolated sunset viewing, however, thick fog came in to cover the view spoiling his perfectly thought out plan. Being as impatient as I am, I tried to hike back down to the campsite for the night. Colin blocked me by getting down on one knee to propose. We couldn’t help but laugh this off as life never goes to plan but that’s what makes it so exciting! Another curveball was thrown our way in February 2019 and we responded by moving to Colorado for some new mountain adventures. We are loving it out here but we can’t wait to return to our New England home to celebrate with family and friends for the wedding!
