We’re Getting Married!

Chris and Rachel met under the most unlikely circumstances - by matching on Tinder in August of 2019. Chris wanting to use the old school approach asked Rachel if she would like to get to know each other in person as opposed to texting. Chris being spontaneous asked Rachel out on his boat the very next day on September 1, 2019. After that date I think we both agreed it was the perfect match.

Keeping the proposal a secret while also making it exciting and special was one of the largest challenges Chris faced in our relationship. Rachel being sharp as a tack and in tune to every detail required elaborate fibs in planning our soon to be engagement cruise, purchasing her engagement ring, and even asking her parents for her hand. After many months of elaborate planning, Chris and Rachel embarked on a cruise in the throws of Covid and the proposal took place at sunset as the ship departed to sea. Little did they know, the next day of their cruise would lead to the ship running aground and being canceled due to hull damage providing them with a unique and epic engagement story that will last them a lifetime.
