We both went to Appalachian State for undergrad, but never crossed paths. After college, Rachel started her career in Charlotte and Chase in Raleigh. During the fall, we both went to the App State vs. ECU football game at the Panther's Stadium and ended up meeting each other through Rachel's roommate Caroline - who is one of her beautiful bridesmaids. After a couple of months of texting and late-night phone calls, Rachel drove to Chase's hometown to go on a date with him. We stayed up talking until 4 a.m. about our lives, what we wanted for our future, and everything else under the sun, and after that night, we both felt a connection we wanted to take seriously. A few weeks later, we took a trip to Asheville together - Rachel told her mom she was going with "a friend" and Chase's mom called her "Charlotte girl" since both had no idea who their children were spending so much free time together with. Soon after, we started dating. Over time, Chase grew to love Rachel's cat, Missy, who is now his best little buddy. We both fell in love with each other and became a part of each other's families, who have always been a cornerstone in each of our lives. We moved to Mooresville together, and began planning our future together. Right after Christmas of 2024, Chase proposed to Rachel while on a trip together in Maine. Through the past couple of years, we have learned so much from each other - trust, loyalty, patience, understanding, and unconditional love most of all. We are so thankful for the life that we have built together, and for our families who have poured endless love and support into our journey as a couple. We cannot wait for our future together, and are beyond excited to share our wedding day with so many important people that God has put into our lives along the way.
