Question

Where?

Answer

Good News Bible Church Neighborhood: Logan Square 2038 N California Ave, Chicago, IL 60647

Question

When?

Answer

We are getting married on December 7, 2019! Ceremony begins at 2:30pm. There will be a break from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. Reception is from 5:30pm to 9:00pm.

Question

What time do the doors open?

Answer

The doors will open at 2:00pm for the ceremony. If you are able to hang out in a coffee shop nearby or live in the Chicago area, plan to arrive between 2:00pm and 2:15pm. Guests attending the reception will also be welcome to remain inside the Church from 3:00pm to 5:30pm during the break to avoid the cold, or they can explore the city.

Question

Will it be cold?

Answer

We hope not, but you never know. The weather could be many things in Chicago, and rain, snow, or freezing temperatures are all possible. Be sure to pack or wear warm clothes, as the sun sets around 4:30pm, and keep checking the forecast!

Question

What Should I do during the break between the ceremony and Reception?

Answer

There will be a 2 hour break from 3:00pm to 5:00pm between the Ceremony and the Reception. If you will be attending the reception, you can remain in the Church Fellowship Hall to connect with friends and family over some hot cocoa and coffee. Explore the City! On the "Things To Do" page you will find a number of activities to consider nearby. Go back to the Hotel and take a nap! Come back refreshed and ready to party at 5:30pm!

Question

Alcohol?

Answer

No. There will not be any alcohol provided at the reception, and you won't be able to bring your own either, it's a dry venue!

Question

Food Allergies?

Answer

If you have an allergy, please note it on your RSVP!

Question

Can I bring a +1?

Answer

If your RSVP does not have a +1 and you would really like to bring your +1, please reach out to us directly.

Question

Is there parking at the church?

Answer

Yes! There is a free parking lot at the church. However, there are only about 30 parking spots, so you can also utilize street parking nearby.

Question

Where Are You Living After You Get Married?

Answer

We are moving to Colorado Springs! Chicago has been a wonderful home for us, but we are so excited for this new chapter in life!

Question

Which Airport should I fly to?

Answer

Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. The Blue Line Train travels directly from O'Hare International Airport to the California Blue Line Stop, a 5 minute walk from the Church.

Question

Can I fly in on Saturday?

Answer

The Ceremony begins at 2:30pm on Saturday O'Hare International Airport is 45 minutes away from Good News Bible Church via car or Train. If you find a flight that arrives before noon on Saturday, you should have time to get to the Church. Keep in mind that flight delays often occur and that December weather could affect your travels. To be safe, plan to arrive in the morning if you plan to fly in on Saturday. Otherwise, fly in on Thursday or Friday and take some time to explore the city! You can find lots of activities downtown on the "Things To Do" page!

Question

Have you partnered with any hotels?

Answer

No. Many of our guests are already in Chicago, so we don't have any specific hotel recommendations. We recommend looking at Airbnb if you are coming from out of town! On the "Travel" Page you can get our discount!

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

No. Unless you have a good reason to get a car, take an Uber, or take the Trains! Chicago has a vast Public Transit network beginning in the airport, and parking and driving in the city can be expensive and difficult.
